We are proud to share that Sree Narayana Mission (Singapore) is one of the 85 winners of the Charity Transparency Award 2022! The Charity Transparency Award (CTA) recognises charities that have adopted good transparency and governance standards.

The Awards Ceremony was held on 9 November at the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre and was organised by the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY). This is the third time that SNM has received this prestigious award, which was received by SNM President, Mr Jayadev Unnithan.

SNM will continue to strive toward excellence by building our working principles into everything we deliver, and into how we work as an organization.

Clinical Instructor, Ms. Saravanan Mahalakshmi was presented the Community Care Manpower Development Award (CCMDA) on 5 September 2022 for her continuous upgrading and professional development as she pursues her Specialist Diploma in Community Gerontology, Nursing.

The CCMD is a part of MOH’s and AIC’s commitment to increase the manpower capabilities in the Community Care sector through professional development of in-service staff.

On 31 August, SNM held a floral tribute at SNM Nursing Home for the late Major (Retd.) Ishwar Lall Singh, who passed away earlier that month.

The tribute was attended by family members of Mr. Lall Singh, fellow veterans of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) and SNM’s Residents’ Committee, along with H.E Mr. P. Kumaran, High Commissioner of India to Singapore, who shared a few words before placing the flower wreath.

The tribute saw two nations coming together – Singapore and India to honour the memory of the great man whose service in the Indian National Army (INA) help achieve the long-cherished dream of India’s Independence. His subsequent contributions in the SAF when it was founded helped transform 2 infantry battalions to what it is today.

The regimental quick march of Subhas Chandra Bose’s Indian National Army song ‘Qadam Qadam Badhaye Ja’ was played at the tribute followed by the Singapore Infantry Regiment March.

We at SNM would like to thank everyone for taking the time out of their busy schedules to attend this tribute.
