Procurement Executive
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Oversee all activities of the purchasing department.
- To keep track of master procurement list and to activate contracts near expiring dates in advance to support and maintain operations.
- Understand procurement SOP and ensure that all internal staff adhere to it.
- Prepare plans for the purchase of equipment, services, and supplies.
- Follow and enforce the company’s procurement policies and procedures.
- Review, compare, analyse, and approve products and services to be purchased.
- Manage inventories and maintain accurate purchase and pricing records.
- Maintain and update supplier information.
- Maintain good supplier relations and negotiate contracts.
- Research and evaluate prospective suppliers.
- Process requisitions and update management on status of orders.
- Update inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels.
- Analyse market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions.
- Coordinate with inventory team, management, and stockroom as required.
- Assess quality of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in Procurement or equivalent certifications.
- Preferred 3 years relevant working experience in a similar capacity, preferably in healthcare industry.
- Excellent communications and negotiation skills.
- Resourceful, self-driven, proactive, and independent worker.
- Hardworking and meticulous with positive attitude.
- Proficient in use of MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Access).
